Woman seriously injured in Maries County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 23-year-old woman from Licking, Missouri, was seriously injured in a crash Wednesday morning on Highway 63 in Maries County, near Highway 28, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states that the woman lost control of her 2001 Buick Lesabre while heading southbound on the snow-covered roadway. Her vehicle crossed the centerline and was hit by a 2023 Peterbilt – driven by a 69-year-old man from Rosebud.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The woman was brought to Phelps Health by ambulance.

The Buick was totaled, while the Peterbilt had extensive damage, the report says.
