Teenager killed in Maries County crash, woman seriously injured

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 19-year-old Vienna man was killed Friday morning in a crash on Highway 133 in Maries County, a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says.

The report says that the man was driving a 2005 Ford Focus southbound on the road when it crossed the center line and hit a 2023 Jeep Cherokee head-on.

The Jeep was driven by a 34-year-old woman, who was seriously injured in the crash and was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, the report says.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the deputy coroner, the report says. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the report says. The woman was wearing a seatbelt.

The man’s body was brought to Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna, the report says.

Both vehicles were totaled.
