Steelville man seriously injured in Maries County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Steelville man was seriously injured in a crash on Thursday in Maries County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, a 2010 Hyundai Sonata – driven by a 43-year-old Steelville man – was heading southbound on Highway 63, about two miles north of Vienna, when it crossed the center line and hit a 2022 Ford Econoline E350 that was heading northbound. The Ford was driven by a 26-year-old Dixon man, the report says.

The Ford went off the roadway and overturned, the report says. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the Hyundia was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries, the report says.

Both vehicles were totaled.
