Springfield man seriously injured in Camden County crash accused of DWI

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man who crashed his car in Camden County over the weekend is accused of driving while drunk, according to a pair of reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

According to a crash report, Jermaine Jackson, 25, of Springfield, Missouri, was seriously injured in a crash on Sunday on Highway 54, east of Highway 73 in Camden County. The report says Jackson’s 2009 Chevrolet Aveo went off the left side of the road and overturned.

Jackson had serious injuries and was brought to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance, the report says. He was not wearing a seatbelt and the Chevrolet was totaled.

An arrest report says that he is accused of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and driving without a seatbelt. Charges have not appeared on Casenet. The arrest report says he was released to a hospital for medical treatment.
