LA MONTE, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two Sedalia men were injured – one seriously – in a crash on Monday in the northbound lane of Highway 127, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, the crash occurred as Jeffrey Rhoads, 34, lost control of a 2019 Ford F250. The truck went off the side of the road and hit a ditch, the report says. The trailer from the truck came off and hit the back and top of the vehicle, the report says.

Rhoads had moderate injuries and was brought to Western Missouri Medical Center by ambulance, the report says. His passenger – William Johnson, 51 – suffered serious injuries and was brought to an area hospital by ambulance, the report says.

Both men were wearing seatbelts, the report says. The truck was totaled.
