Moberly man seriously injured in Knox County crash

HURDLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 51-year-old Moberly man was seriously injured in a Tuesday crash on Highway 6 in Knox County, about three miles east of Hurdland, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, a 2019 Kenworth dump truck – driven by Shane Whitacre – was heading westbound when it went off the right side of the road, came back to the street, overcorrected and overturned off the left side of the road.

Whitacre was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. He was wearing a seatbelt, the report states. He was wearing a seatbelt.
