62-year-old man seriously injured in Pettis County crash

SEDALIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 62-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday night in a crash on Highway 65 in Pettis County at Rebar Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred as a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban – driven by David Cosurco, 21, of Hughesville – was heading southbound after Cosurco failed to stop at a red light, the report says. The Suburban hit a 1991 Chevrolet 1500 – driven by Charles Lawson, 62, of Sedalia, the report says.

The Suburban then went off the right side of the road and hit a light pole, the report says.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, the report says. Lawson was brought to Bothwell Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, according to the report.
