Boonville man arrested after early morning crash

COOPER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Boonville man was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol after a crash in Cooper County early Friday morning.

According to the MSHP crash report, the crash happened at 12:05 a.m. on Route Z east of Franklin Drive in Cooper County.

Troopers said Cameron Poulsen, 19, of Boonville, was driving when went off the right side of the road. He then overcorrected and crossed the other side of the road before the 2005 Buick Lacrosse flipped multiple times.

The crash report states he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.

An online arrest report states Poulsen was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated and being a minor in possession. He was released for medical treatment.

MU Health Care said Poulsen was in fair condition as of 8:45 a.m. Friday.
