I-70 in Columbia reopens after crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of Interstate 70 in Columbia closed on Monday evening after a crash was reported in the eastbound lanes.

Boone County Joint Communications sent a notification about a crash in the eastbound lanes at mile marker 125 at 7:04 p.m. BCJC then wrote that the eastbound lanes west of the Business Loop 70 on ramp. were closed at 7:13 p.m. due to the crash

Traffic could be seen backed up for multiple miles. BCJC wrote that the eastbound lanes were reopened at 8:15 p.m.

Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Jenny Hopper wrote in a text message that the crash appeared to be non-injury.

ABC 17 News reached out to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Columbia Fire Department and the Missouri Department of Transportation.
