Man seriously injured in Audrain County crash

MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 35-year-old Mexico, Missouri, man was seriously injured Wednesday in a crash on Highway 15 at Audrain County Road 355, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, Michael Blankenship was heading northbound when he failed to negotiate a right turn onto County Road 355. The 2016 Dodge Journey skid off the roadway and hit a creek embankment.

Blankenship was brought to University Hospital in Columbia by ambulance, the report states. The Dodge was totaled.
