Jefferson City man dies in Cole County crash on Route W

WARDSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City man died in a Thursday morning crash on Route W in Cole County, south of Deer Haven Road, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Antonio J. Perez Burgos was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states. He was 27.

According to the report, Perez Burgos’ 2017 Jeep Wrangler was heading southbound on Route W when it went off the right side of the road, came back to the roadway and overturned. Perez Burgos was ejected from the Jeep. He was not wearing a seatbelt, the report states. The vehicle stopped on its side against a tree, according to the report.

Perez Burgos was taken to Freeman Mortuary.

The Jeep was totaled.
