A 20-year-old Iberia man suffered serious injuries in an ATV crash Sunday afternoon in the 400 block of Route EE in Iberia, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, Trytten Whittle grabbed the throttle of a 2003 Polaris Predator, which caused the ATV to hit a fence and eject him and a 6-year-old boy.

The report claims Whittle and the boy were brought to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by private conveyance before being brought to University Hospital in Columbia by ambulance. Whittle was not wearing a helmet and had serious injuries, while the boy was wearing a helmet and had moderate injuries, according to the report.

The ATV had minor damage, the report states.
