Man dies from injuries in Camden County crash on Valentine’s Day
CAMDENTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
A 70-year-old Camdenton man died from injuries he suffered in a crash on Wednesday, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Bruce Magelky was pronounced dead on Thursday, according to the report. The crash occurred on Old Highway 5 at Long Way Drive. The report states that Magelky was driving southbound his 1994 Chevrolet Silverado, failed to yield to a flagger in a work zone and hit a 2088 Chevrolet 3500 head-on.
The driver of the Chevrolet – John Otto, 69, of St. Elizabeth – had minor injuries and was brought to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by ambulance, the report states. He was wearing a seatbelt.
Troopers investigated a two vehicle crash on MO 5, at Long Way Drive, in Camden County. One of the drivers, a 70 year old man from Camdenton, succumbed to his injuries the following day.

The report states Magelky was flown to University Hospital. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The Silverado was totaled while the 3500 had extensive damage, according to the report.
