MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 19-year-old Vienna man was killed Friday in a crash in Maries County at Highway 63 and County Road 209, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Dylan Limbach was a passenger in a 2004 Chrysler Sebring driven by 18-year-old Karleigh Briscoe, the report states. Limbach was pronounced dead at Capital Region Medical Center. He was 19.

Briscoe was seriously injured and was brought to University Hospital by ambulance, the report states.

The crash occurred as the Chrysler was heading northbound on Highway 63 when Briscoe lost control of the vehicle on the ice-covered roadway, according to the report. Snow entered much of the Mid-Missouri area early Friday. Briscoe overcorrected, causing the Chrysler to go into the southbound lane, the report states.

Briscoe’s vehicle was then hit on the passenger side by a 2007 Dodge Ram driven by 65-year-old Michael Vanmeter, the report states. The Chrysler then overturned and ejected Limbach, according to the report.

The report states that Limbach was not wearing a seatbelt, while Briscoe and Vanmeter were wearing theirs. Both vehicles were totaled.
