Teenager seriously injured in Chariton County crash

CHARITON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 16-year-old girl from Keytesville suffered serious injuries Friday in a single-vehicle crash on Pat Road, about 10 miles north of Keytesville, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash report states the vehicle – a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze -- was traveling southbound when the girl lost control of it. The vehicle went off the left side of the road and hit a tree, the report states.

The girl was flown to University Hospital, according to the report. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

The report states the Chevrolet was totaled.
