SALINE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were killed after a motorcycle crash in Saline County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 4:35 p.m. on Route 65 at Arbor Road near Grand Pass.

Dylan Giffen, 29, of Malta Bend was driving southbound with Jamie Kelly, 41, of Waverly on a 2005 Kawasaki Motorcycle when Giffen tried to drive around a 2018 Kubota Tractor while it was making a left turn onto Arbor Road.

Troopers said this is when Giffen hit part of the tractor's towed unit causing him to go into the northbound lane and hit another driver head-on, the report states.

Both were pronounced dead and were brought to the Saline County coroner.

It is unknown if Giffen or Kelly were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the report. The other drivers were not hurt.
