Crash reported on Highway 63 between Vandiver and Clark; southbound lanes shut down

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Law enforcement shut down the southbound lanes of Highway 63 on Thursday night in between Vandiver Drive and Clark Lane for a crash.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw debris in the middle of the road, as well as a one vehicle flipped over and at least one other vehicle parked on the right side of the roadway.

A witness told ABC 17 News that a truck flipped over while three people were in the vehicle. The witness said they saw at least two people taken to an area hospital. Another witness who lived nearby heard tires screeching from their residence.

A Columbia police officer told ABC 17 News that all three people in the vehicle were taken to an area hospital.

Boone County Joint Communications reported a vehicle collision in the area at 7:01 p.m. on its social media. Eight least eight law enforcement officers were seen working the scene.

ABC 17 News is working to learn more information.
