80-year-old woman recovering after being flown from crash scene

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Huntsville woman is recovering after she was flown to University Hospital in Columbia after a crash in Randolph County Friday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Carol Smith, 80, of Huntsville was driving on Highway BB at noon on Friday when her 2004 Dodge Durango went off the right side of the road and overturned.

Troopers said she was flown in a helicopter to University Hospital with serious injuries.

MU Health Care told ABC 17 that as of 3:30 p.m. on Friday, she was in fair condition.

The crash report states she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
