Fulton man killed after crash in Maries County

MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Fulton man has died after a crash Thursday afternoon in Maries County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 3:38 p.m. on Highway 63 just south of Vienna.

The crash report states that Denny W. Brautigam, 69, of Fulton was traveling southbound on Highway 63 when his car stopped and was still in part of the road.

Troopers said Nathan D. Frank, 25, of Vienna Missouri was also traveling southbound on Highway 63 when he hit the trailer and Brautigam.

Frank's truck then crossed over the center line before overturning and coming to a rest upside down and facing east.

Brautigam was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash report does not mention why Brautigam's car was stopped in the road.

Frank was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
