Elsberry man dies in Montgomery County crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Lincoln County man died in a crash Sunday in Montgomery County on Route E east of Lincoln Lane Road.

Justin Riffle, of Elsberry, was declared dead at the scene, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. He was 43.

The crash occurred as a 1975 Chevrolet Silverado – driven by Riffle – went off the left side of the road, came back to the roadway and then went off the right side and overturned. Riffle was ejected from the vehicle, the report states. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Elsberry’s body was brought to Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City.

The Chevrolet was totaled.
