Man suffers serious injuries in Camden County crash

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Camdenton man suffered serious injuries in a Tuesday morning crash on Route D north of Jack North Road in Camden County.

The crash occurred after a 2020 Harley Davidson Triglide Ultra driven by Michael Jones, 65, crossed the center of the road and hit a 2011 Ford Focus head-on, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Jones was wearing a helmet. He was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. Jones was heading southbound when he hit the Ford, driven by Kyle Smith.

Smith, 25, of Camdenton, was not wearing a seatbelt. He did not have any reported injuries. The Ford had extensive damage, while the Harley Davidson took moderate damage.
