Franklin man seriously injured after morning wreck in Randolph County

HIGBEE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Franklin man was reportedly seriously injured Tuesday morning after a wreck on Route B in Randolph County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Charles Ivy, 75, was driving a 2006 International Truck Tractor on Route B two miles east of Higbee when Ivy swerved to miss oncoming traffic and ran off the side of the road into a tree. Troopers responded to reports of the wreck at 6:55 a.m.

Ivy was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.

Ivy was taken by ambulance to University Hospital. Eric Maze, public spokesman for MU Health Care, says Ivy is in fair condition.
