One person dead, two people seriously injured after a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 24 in Randolph County

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person is dead after the vehicle crossed the center line and hit another vehicle head-on on Highway 24 in Randolph County Friday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Loretta Harmon, 77, of Salisbury, was driving a 2009 Buick Lucerne when the vehicle hit a 2012 Chevy Traverse head-on on Highway 24.

The Lucerne came to a rest in the eastbound lane and the Traverse ran off the side of the road and overturned.

Harmon was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver, Mary Liebhart, 82, of New Boston, and passenger Kathryn Milner, 86, of Marceline were in the Traverse at the time of the wreck. Both were taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.

Harmon was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck. Liebhart and Milner were both wearing seat belts.
