Two people hurt after two-vehicle wreck on Missouri Blvd in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City police responded to a wreck at the intersection of Missouri Blvd. and Conrad St. at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Police reported Glenn Smith II, 34, was driving a 2011 Toyota Tacoma when he attempted to turn left from Conrad St. and drove into the path of a 2014 Volkswagon Passat driven by Cla'Taeya Stalling, 28, that was westbound on Missouri Blvd.

Stalling and a 9-year-old were taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment of their moderate injuries.

Officials report the Volkswagon was totaled and the Tacoma had moderate damage.

Stalling was not wearing a seatbelt.

Officials report Missouri Blvd. was restricted to one lane in both directions for 30 minutes while the scene was investigated by a traffic officer.
