Man seriously injured after attempting to pass farm equipment in Saline County

SALINE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Slater man is seriously injured after a wreck on Highway 240 in Saline County on Friday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Lester Bryant, 72, of Slater, was driving a 2004 Ford truck and attempted to pass multiple vehicles that were behind a piece of farm equipment.

Officials say the farm equipment turned left in front of the truck leading to the crash.

Bryant was flown to Columbia hospital for his injuries.

It is unknown if Bryant was wearing a seat belt.
