COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at 6:40 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 63 and Stadium Blvd.

Officials report the crews arrived five minutes later and found two heavily-damaged vehicles.

Crews had to use a hydraulic rescue tool to free one occupant of a vehicle.

Officials say two people were taken to local hospitals for evaluation and/or treatment of injuries.
