Driver killed in Gasconade County crash after suffering medical emergency

GASCONADE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Gasconade, Missouri, man is dead after a crash on eastbound Highway 100 Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 11:40 a.m. near Cole Creek Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Troopers said William K. Halley, 59, suffered a medical emergency before he crashed his car.

The vehicle left the road, hit a ditch, and flipped over twice, according to the crash report. The car went back on the highway before eventually going off the left side of the road again.

Halley was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gasconade County coroner at 12:55 p.m.

Troopers said Halley was wearing a seat belt.
