Liberty man charged with DWI after December wreck on I-70 in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Boone County prosecutor has charged a Liberty man with DWI causing serious injury after a Dec. 22 crash on Interstate 70 near the 133 mile marker.

Jared Thompson was charged after he and one other person were hurt in the rollover crash.

According to the highway patrol, an ambulance took Thompson and Kerena Dieckmann to University Hospital in Columbia with their injuries.

Troopers said Thompson and Dieckmann were not wearing seat belts.

Thompson has an initial court appearance scheduled for Feb. 17.
