CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 15-year-old boy from Richmond, Missouri, was seriously injured in a UTV crash Monday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports, the teen was riding a 2019 Polaris Ranger UTV shortly after 8 p.m. on Route A in Camden County.

Troopers say the teen lost control of the UTV after going over a small hill. The UTV then went into a dry creek bed before flipping over.

An emergency helicopter transported the boy to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield for treatment.

Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
