Car making U-turn in Miller County injures woman lying near road

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A woman from Osage Beach was flown to a hospital with serious injuries after a pedestrian crash Friday morning.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Friday.

Troopers said a 20-year-old driver was heading east on Kaiser Industrial Park in Miller County when she tried to make a U-turn near Kaiser Road.

The crash report said the car hit 41-year-old Nicole Davenport, who was reportedly lying next to the roadway.

Davenport was transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

The driver of the car was not injured in the crash.
