Motorcycle driver seriously injured after I-70 wreck in Callaway County

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A motorcycle driver was seriously injured Sunday afternoon after a two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 70 near mile marker 148.6 in Callaway County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Terry Shipley drove a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle and passed motorists on the right shoulder.

Shipley then veered left to avoid traffic and hit a 2019 Ford Explorer then entered the left lane of I-70 with flashing lights.

The motorcycle continue the right side of the roadway and hit two trees before Shipley was thrown from the bike.

Shipley was taken by ambulance to University Hospital for treatment.

Shipley was wearing a helmet.
