Warsaw man dies in single-vehicle crash

BENTON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 45-year-old Warsaw man is dead after crashing his car and being thrown from the vehicle.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said George M. Cecil was driving a passenger car north on Route MM between Warsaw and the Lake of the Ozarks at about 7:08 p.m. Tuesday night.

The crash report said Cecil's car went off the left side of the road, went into a ditch and flipped over.

Troopers say the driver was ejected from the vehicle. The Benton County Coroner, Weston Miller, confirmed Cecil was dead at 7:40 p.m.

Reports say Cecil was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Benton County Sheriff's deputies assisted troopers wtih the wreck.
