MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri highway patrol says an Eldon man is dead after crashing into a tree on Monday.

Troopers said in the crash report that 44-year-old Kevin L. Reeves was killed in the single-vehicle wreck.

Reeves was driving a 2000 Dodge Caravan that had no tires on Route M just outside of Eldon city limits around 5:30 p.m., troopers said in the report.

The vehicle went off the right side of the road, then came back to the roadway and went off the left side. That's when troopers say Reeves hit the tree.

A Miller County paramedic confirmed Reeves was dead at the scene. Troopers said he was the only occupant in the vehicle.

According to the report, Reeves was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened.
