Stover man killed in fiery crash

BENTON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ))

State troopers say a Stover man was killed in a fiery crash in Benton County Sunday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said 39-year-old James Scheil was driving east on Highway 52 near E. Brockman Lane around 9:10 p.m.

Troopers say Scheil's vehicle, a 2015 Ford Fusion, went off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

According to the report, the car caught on fire and was fully engulfed when emergency crews arrived at the scene. Troopers said no one else was hurt in the wreck.

Benton County crews assisted troopers at the crash, the report said.
