SEDALIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri state troopers say a Sedalia man is dead following a crash Thursday morning.

The crash report from the highway patrol said 77-year-old Mikhail Zalozh was killed in the wreck.

According to the report, Zalozh and 22-year-old Mathew Curry, of Columbia, were driving in opposite directions on Main Street around 7:30 a.m.

Troopers say both drivers crossed the centerline of the road and crashed head-on.

A Pettis County Sheriff's deputy who responded to the crash pronounced Zalozh dead at the scene, the report said. Crews say he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

Curry was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, the patrol said.
