MoDOT contractor hurt in morning wreck on Interstate 70 in Callaway County

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A semi-truck hit a contractor for MoDOT Wednesday morning in Callaway County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 44-year-old Kevin McGhee was hit in a work zone on westbound interstate 70 near Kingdom City around 5:25 this morning.

McGhee was taken to a hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

An online crash report says the driver of the semi-truck missed a flashing arrow sign before he hit McGhee.

Another person hurt in the crash refused treatment at the scene.
