COOPER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Bunceton woman was hurt in a crash Monday afternoon after she experienced a medical emergency while driving.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said 42-year-old Carla Fairfax was driving a passenger vehicle on Old Concord Drive near Route J in Cooper County just before 2 p.m.

The patrol's crash report said Fairfax suffered a medical emergency and drove off the road.

Troopers say her vehicle went through a field, hit a fence, a boat, a trailer, two trees and another fence before rolling onto its passenger side.

Reports said Fairfax had moderate injuries from the wreck. Officials at University Hospital said the woman had been treated and released as of Tuesday morning.

Fairfax was the only person hurt in the single-vehicle crash. Troopers said she was not wearing a seatbelt.
