Driver seriously injured in wreck on Highway 5 south of Fortuna

FORTUNA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a driver was seriously injured during a wreck Friday morning in Moniteau County on Highway 5.

According to the online crash report, the driver attempted to overtake three vehicles but lost control.

The crash report indicates the vehicle left the roadway hitting a sign, utility pole and a fence.

The driver was taken to St. Mary's Hospital by ambulance.
