Patrol: Truck crash into bridge seriously injures man

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Lake of the Ozarks-area man was seriously hurt after crashing into a bridge later Saturday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

University of Missouri Hospital officials say the man in good condition Monday morning after being flown to the hospital.

According to the crash report, James Roberts, 59, of Richland, Mo., was driving north on Highway 7 just before 9 p.m.

Troopers said Roberts' truck went off the right side of the road, he overcorrected, went off the left side of the road, hit a bridge and rolled over.

Roberts was not wearing a seatbelt when the wreck happened, reports said.

The patrol said no other people were hurt in the crash and Camden County sheriff's deputies assisted troopers with the wreck.
