NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Friday morning crash in New Bloomfield sent a local man to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said 71-year-old Milton Wolfe was operating a riding lawn mower when the crash happened.

Troopers said Wolfe was crossing Redwood Drive at the Willow Drive intersection on a Scag Power Equipment Tiger Cat II around 6:20 a.m.

Diane Hoelscher, 50, of New Bloomfield, was driving a 2006 Chevy truck southbound on Redwood and collided with Wolfe as he was leaving a gravel parking, the report said.

Trooper said Wolfe was ejected from the mower. No others were hurt in the crash.

A University of Missouri Hospital spokesman said Wolfe was in good condition as of Monday morning.
