Laclede County man killed Sunday night ATV crash

State troopers say a Laclede County man was killed in a weekend ATV crash in Camden County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F crash report said 35-year-old Andrew P. Simons, of Eldridge, Mo., died in the wreck around 9:38 p.m. Sunday night.

According to the report, Simons was driving a 2006 Yamaha Raptor 700 westbound on Mt. Horeb Road when his vehicle drove off the left side of the road.

Troopers said Simons failed to negotiate a curve in the road.

The crash report said the ATV rolled over and Simons was thrown from the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at 10:03 p.m. troopers say.

Sheriff's deputies from Camden County and Laclede County also responded to the single-vehicle incident.
