Eugene man killed in early morning ATV crash

EUGENE, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a Eugene man died in an ATV crash early Friday morning.

According to the patrol's crash report, 35-year-old Kevin Eckstein was operating the ATV when it rolled over around 3 a.m.

Troopers said Eckstein's 1985 Suzuki ATV drove off the right side of Eugene Road, hit a mailbox and overturned.

Troop F spokesman Scott White said the crash happened on Eugene where the road turns into Shephard Street.

The Miller County Deputy Coroner pronounced Eckstein dead at 3:10 a.m., the report said.

The patrol said Miller County deputies also responded to the wreck.
