Driver leaves scene of Columbia crash blocking off part of Rangeline Street

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A single-car crash early Monday morning shut down part of Rangeline Street in Columbia. Police at the scene said the driver left the scene of the crash on foot.

At 3:17 a.m., Boone County Joint Communications posted to Twitter that the road was closed near Blue Ridge Road.

ABC 17 News crews at the scene saw one car with extensive damage near the intersection. Crews with the Columbia Police Department and the Columbia Fire Department responded to the incident.

Police told ABC 17 News no one was hurt in the crash.

Boone County Joint Communications tweeted just before 3:30 a.m. that one lane of northbound Rangeline Street was open.

Officials are advising drivers to avoid the area if possible.

As of 4 a.m. Monday, police had not found the driver of the car.
