Two killed in Howard County single-vehicle crash

HOWARD COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

State troopers say two people were killed in a Howard County single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Haden Singleton, 18, of Columbia and Timothy Mackenzie Jr., 27, of Tipton were both killed in the wreck.

The patrol's crash report said Mackenzie was driving with Singleton in the car around 4 p.m.

According to the report, Mackenzie was driving eastbound on Route J near Highway 318 when his car went off the right side of the road.

Troopers said the car overturned. The Howard County Coroner pronounced both Mackenzie and Singleton dead at 4:30 p.m.

Troopers said no others were hurt in the crash.

The patrol said neither was wearing a seatbelt when the wreck happened.
