MSHP Troop F

HOWARD COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said an Armstrong man was killed in a head-on crash in Howard County late Monday night.

The highway patrol Troop F crash report said 30-year-old Ethan Fuemmeler died in the crash after his vehicle crossed the centerline of Highway 5 and crashed into a truck just after 9 p.m.

Troopers said 62-year-old Philip Dicus was traveling northbound on the highway about two miles South of the Highway 3 intersection.

Dicus drove off the roadway to avoid Fuemmeler, however, his car continued across the highway and the driver's crashed head-on, troopers said.

Reports said the Howard County coroner confirmed Fuemmeler was dead at the scene. Troopers said he wasn't wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
