Crashes reported in Jefferson City, Columbia as snow continues to fall

Three cars slid off Interstate 70 eastbound after snow fell across Mid-Missouri on Wednesday.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Crews in Columbia and Jefferson City responded to crashes late Wednesday night with snow falling around Mid-Missouri.

An ABC 17 News crew reported seeing three cars off the road on Interstate 70 eastbound near the Providence Road exit around 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

It's unclear if anyone was hurt in the crash.

Jefferson City first responders were also called to a crash near the Missouri River Bridge.

An ABC 17 News crews reported the crash blocked an eastbound lane of Highway 54. Multiple ambulances and Jefferson City police vehicles were called to the scene.

Authorities cleared the crash around 9 p.m. It's unclear if anyone was injured from the crash.

The Stormtrack Weather Team is tracking an additional band of snow to drop up to an inch of snow in Columbia and Jefferson City.
