Man seriously injured in Phelps County crash

PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

An 18-year-old Rolla man was seriously injured Monday in a crash on Route E in Phelps County, north of Route Y, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred as a 1992 Nissan 300zx – driven by Andrew Sadl, 20, of Rolla – was heading north on Route E. The report states that Davies was distracted and failed to negotiate a curve, the report states.

The Nissan went off the right side of the road, Davis overcorrected and the vehicle went off the left side of the road, according to the report. The vehicle then hit a culvert and overturned, according to the report.

The report states the passenger of the vehicle, Hayden Davies, suffered serious injuries and was flown to University Hospital by ambulance.
