School bus traffic allowed to use South Main Street in Ashland during resurfacing project

ASHLAND, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Ashland announced in a Monday press release that school bus traffic will be allowed to use South Main Street as a waterline and resurfacing project takes place.

The first day of school for the Southern Boone School District is Tuesday. Local traffic, such as residents, emergency vehicles, businesses and their patrons are still allowed to drive through work zones, the release states. Through traffic for all other drivers is not permitted.

South Main Street is closed to all other drivers from Sarah Drive until East Broadway, according to a map in the release. A detour is provided on Henry Clay Boulevard, according to a map in the release.

The release states South Henry Clay Boulevard was recently resurfaced and striping work has to be completed. The release states that should be completed within the next two weeks.
