Mizzou football moves up one spot in each major poll

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team will head into the gauntlet that is Southeastern Conference play with an unblemished record and a one-spot jump in each of the major national rankings.

On Sunday, following the team's Week 3 win over Troy, head coach Eli Drinkwitz and his team moved up one spot to No. 19 in the Associated Press' Top-25 and up one position in the USA Today Coaches poll, as well, to No. 21.

MU is one of a bevy of SEC teams that find themselves within the Top-25 in the early stages of this 2026 season. In fact, as Mizzou is set to embark on its nine-game conference slate this week, seven of the Tigers' nine remaining opponents are ranked in either the Coaches Poll or the AP Top-25.
