COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) -

Boone County firefighters put out a trailer fire Wednesday afternoon east of Columbia that damaged at least two homes.

Boone County Fire Protection District assistant chief Chuck Doss told ABC 17 News that a trailer caught fire near two homes in the 7400 block of Suncrest Court.

Doss said firefighters are working to keep the fire from spreading to the homes.

An ABC 17 News reporter on scene saw damage to one home's garage and another home's siding. Firefighters there said no one was hurt, and the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
